Parham Transport

In 1923 Jack Parham founded J. Parham & Sons in Church Street, Portsmouth, Hampshire, offering a vehicle dismantling and furniture removal service to the city and surrounding areas. The company also found a gap in the road haulage market and started transporting goods for local factories and traders in its removal vans and rigid lorries. In the mid 1980’s the company decided to expand into the road haulage market properly, and after securing a major contract with nearby kitchen appliance manufacturer Kenwood Limited a few years later, the first articulated truck was purchased. As the company grew in size it moved from Portsmouth to our current premises in nearby Havant. Parham Transport was then incorporated in 2009 by managing director Ray Parham and his father Phillip.

We operate a modern fleet of DAF XF tractor units and have a 5 year fleet replacement program to ensure our vehicles are kept up to date with the latest technologies. Technologies which improve vehicle safety and fuel efficiency and that are more reliable and better for the environment. All our vehicles are fitted with 24/7 satellite tracking and our drivers issued mobile phones to ensure they can be contacted at all times.

With over 25 years’ experience transporting various cargo around the UK and Europe, Ray and his team of drivers share a passion for doing an excellent job and ensure every delivery is made to the highest standard.
